Turnitin is the leading academic plagiarism detector, utilized by teachers and students to avoid plagiarism and ensure academic integrity. Turnitin provides instructors with the tools to engage students in the writing process, provide personalized feedback, and assess student progress over time.

Turnitin Plagiarism tool access through the Institution account

SLIIT Academic Staff Accounts

SLIIT Academic staff have access to the Turnitin web tool. Accordingly, all Senior Lecturers, Lecturers, Assistant Lecturers will have “Instructor Accounts”. Newly joined Academic staff members are required to send a mail, addressed to the librarian stating their official email address and the EMP number to create accounts.

Academics who have instructor accounts can use the “Bulk Uploading method" to check full class submissions.

Special Note: Please mark the "Not Archived" option when submitting papers to check plagiarism until confirmed as a final paper.

SLIIT Student Accounts

1. Researchers, 2. Postgraduate students, 3. Fourth-year and Third-year undergraduate students who wish to check their papers are requested to get registered by sending the request form available in the CourseWeb Digital Library. Once registered the requester will receive the Enrolment Key and the Class ID provided by SLIIT library with instructions to follow.
